About David Burkart
Dave Burkart was born in Wisconsin but has lived in Florida since an early age. He earned a degree in art from the University of Miami and spent most of his professional career working as a design consultant in dimensional media, including design of exhibits and displays, environmental graphics, landscape design and interior design. While working as a consultant, David continued to create original paintings, drawings, prints and crafts work, including original furniture designs. Many of his earlier original art is in private hands, but he decided to offer prints to a broader market and as his consulting work winds down, he hopes to devote more time to personal creative works in his favorite media.
David accepts commissions for original work in similar styles to what he has displayed, in variations on subjects, or as negotiated. He also offers limited edition prints of certain subjects where the original is privately held and open editions of prints are not contemplated. Contact him directly to discuss any of these options.
David's heraldic gallery is a small representation of his work in that field as a student of heraldry and chivalry. He is a member of several international societies devoted to the study and discussion of heraldry.
